Workplace Violence
with Melanie Nye

The workplace is the most violent place to be in America. The number of workplace homicides in the U.S. are significant when compared to other forms of murder. Homicide is the leading cause of on-the-job death for women and the second leading cause for men. Be sure to join us Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. and when Melanie Nye presents to us again.

Learn how to detect early warning signs that could lead to violent behaviors and additional steps in the continuum of violence. Once you better understand how to detect potentially violent behavior, you will be in a better position to protect yourself and others!

Together Everyone Achieves More

President's Pen

Dear Members:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I spent mine with friends and starting decorating for the Christmas season. It is a tradition for me to start my decorating the day after Thanksgiving. I love some traditions. We even have traditions in our Chapter. At our Wednesday, December 21st meeting this week we will be collecting toys for Toys for Tots and personal hygiene items for the Faith Mission (a list of what items are needed was in the November newsletter). I know money is tight for everyone, but one small toy would make a child so happy on Christmas morning.
