Records Management & SharePoint And Annual Meeting and Voting

Educate yourself Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. when Beth W. Murphy, Assistant Vice President, Legal & Regulatory Compliance for Grange Insurance discusses Records Management and Meredeth Johnson, CAP, Administrative Marketing Assistant with Towers Watson presents SharePoint software.

Beth W. Murphy will speak about records from a legal compliance perspective. At Grange, she identifies and enforces regulatory and judicial changes that affect policies and procedures. She oversees litigation, reviews and drafts contracts, advises business units on legal issues, and conducts training. Beth began as an attorney in 1998 in Jackson, Tennessee. In 2002, Beth was hired as litigation counsel by Grange and was promoted to Corporate Compliance Counsel in the Office of General Counsel in 2005. She completed her Juris Doctorate at The University of Alabama School of Law in 1998 after graduating magna cum laude from the University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in history. In Tennessee, Beth was a board member of the Madison County Bar Association and received the 2001-2002 President's Local Service Award from the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyer Division. From 2003 to 2005, she served as arbitrator for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Stephen's Community House in Columbus, Ohio.

"SharePoint" is a term used to refer to one or more of the products or technologies in the Microsoft SharePoint collection. People are talking about SharePoint everywhere. It's the latest and greatest platform for collaboration and document sharing. That's great, but what is it really? And why should I care? In this session you will learn the basics on what they are talking about, and how SharePoint relates to records management. Meredeth Johnson will host this session. She is the local team site SharePoint administrator at Towers Watson. Meredeth handles site administration and permission access levels for multiple team sites. She customizes and updates each site depending on the needs of the team including building web parts, libraries, lists, calendars, and more.
