President's Pen
Dear Members:
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a nice holiday season with family and friends. If you were not able to join us for the December meeting, you missed playing our version of Hollywood Squares. One of newest members, Judy Leahey, won the game where she was a contestant. Way to go, Judy! We had a blast!
We also held a silent auction during the meeting and made $51. Thanks to everyone who brought in their "treasures" for us to auction off.
During 2012 I hope you find a program that interests you and you will join us for a meeting. At our February 15 meeting, Melanie Nye will be talking to us about Workplace Violence.
IAAP has reached 70 years as an association! In connection with this milestone, IAAP will be having a membership campaign. Look for more details in next month's newsletter.
We are well on our way to achieving the Chapter of Excellence again this year. We have three of the eight criteria done. By participating in the above membership drive, we will take care of one more. If you know of anyone that you would like us to send membership information to, please let Sheri Shepard know.
I would like to take a moment to say thank you to all the members of the Columbus Chapter for the love and support you have given me over the last five year since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. On February 12th I will be celebrating my five year mark! I cannot express in words how much each of you mean to me and I am truly blessed to know each of you.
I look forward to many more years in our chapter.
See you February 15 and March 21.
Sincerely,
Tracy S. Metzger, CAP
